Quirky Pickle has always blended creativity with purpose. What began as a small design studio with a passion for playful storytelling has grown into a national literacy effort, inspiring meaningful connections to reading and writing through its ClassPals and Sticker Pals programs. As participation has expanded to classrooms across the country, one thing has become clear: access to engaging, creative literacy experiences matters.
As classrooms across the country embraced Quirky Pickle programs, it became clear that expanding access required more than creativity, it required structural support. To meet that need, Jennifer established the Quirky Pickle Education Foundation (QPEF), a nonprofit committed to improving literacy and communication skills for learners of all ages. The Foundation enables Quirky Pickle to extend its mission beyond program sales and into direct charitable investment in schools and communities facing the greatest literacy barriers.

Why a Foundation?

Teachers and community leaders often have creative ideas to strengthen literacy, but limited budgets can make implementing them difficult. The Quirky Pickle Education Foundation was created to help bridge that gap between need and available resources.
Through QPEF, educators and group leaders can request:
• Mini-grants
• Literacy and communication materials
• Creative learning opportunities
• Support for programs like ClassPals
By pairing financial investment with tangible classroom resources, the Foundation helps turn literacy goals into real experiences by opening doors for students in communities of every size and setting.
Supporting ClassPals and Beyond

ClassPals remains at the heart of Quirky Pickle’s literacy efforts. The nationwide pen pal program connects classrooms through handwritten letters, encouraging empathy, creativity, and stronger writing skills without screens.
With the support of QPEF, ClassPals can now reach more Title 1 schools, homeschool groups, after-school programs, and community organizations. The Foundation also supports nourishment at ClassPals events and workshops, recognizing that hunger should never prevent a student from focusing, learning, and expressing creativity.
As the program continues to grow, so does the opportunity to diversify its reach. Community members, local partners, and supporters who believe in the power of literacy and real connection are invited to help write the next chapter for Quirky Pickle. Whether through funding, collaboration, or simply spreading the word, every contribution helps ensure that more students have access to creative learning experiences.

The Big Dill
The creation of the QPEF marks an exciting new chapter in expanding access to joyful, creative literacy experiences. Through support for educators, classrooms, and community partners, the Foundation is delivering engaging, meaningful learning opportunities to more students nationwide.
Quirky Pickle continues to grow, but the mission stays the same: creativity, connection, and literacy working together.
…And that’s a big dill as we turn the page.
